2026 Great American Cleanup
How it works...
Step 1.
Register for the Great American Cleanup – you can participate by yourself or organize a group.
Step 2.
Choose a location to pick up litter. It can be your neighborhood or a location of your choice within city limits.
Step 3.
Sign up as an individual, a family, or a group by Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Step 4.
Join us on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Rotary Park, 1901 S 23rd St, Fort Pierce, FL 34950
Step 5.
Submit your Litter Cleanup Report Form to make a request for trash removal and to help us recognize all of your hard work! Students must submit this form to receive a community service hours certificate. Once that is done, a request for a certificate can be made to KFPB@cityoffortpierce.com

Why volunteer?
Everyone wants to live, work, and play in a clean and green community and together we can make it happen. Getting involved is easy and this is a great event to get your family, business, civic organization, sports team, school, church, or organization involved.
When do I register?

Who can participate?
Everyone! Community organizations, businesses, individuals, non-profits, governmental agencies, and scout troops all are welcome to participate in this event. This event is approved for community service hours and certificates will be available upon request.
How do I get my supplies?
Volunteers can pick up supplies the morning of the event at Rotary Park.
Can volunteers choose a location to clean up?
Yes. Volunteers are encouraged to choose a location that is important to them. Locations can include school campuses, areas along creeks, other waterways, parks, neighborhoods, etc.
What do I do with the trash bags collected?
Leave litter bags in a central location where the litter was collected, AND submit a Litter Cleanup Report Form, where trash removal can be requested. This will help us find your trash bags!
Will the City still have an Arbor Day Celebration?
It will take place at a later date and location. Once that information is available, it will be shared on the City's website, social media accounts, and email notification system. Please stay tuned!
